Media Taskforce
The Media Taskforce at Human Security Solutions is an essential pillar of our work at the intersection of human security, security sector reform (SSR), and transitional justice. In fragile and post-conflict environments, media is not only a platform for information—it is a powerful force for accountability, transparency, and justice.
Our taskforce brings together Syrian and international journalists, editors, analysts, and media experts committed to strengthening the role of the media in documenting violations, exposing corruption and abuse, and opening dialogue between the public and state institutions.
Key objectives:
- Support ethical, fact-based journalism on SSR, DDR, and justice processes
- Train local media professionals to report safely and effectively on security issues
- Amplify survivor voices and stories of justice and reconciliation
- Provide communication strategies to ensure transparency of institutions and reform efforts
- Facilitate collaboration between media, civil society, and state actors in shaping post-conflict narratives
By empowering media to critically and constructively engage with the security and justice sectors, we help build a public culture of trust, reform, and rights. The Media Taskforce is committed to ensuring that journalism contributes to truth-telling, restorative justice, and long-term peacebuilding in Syria.
فريق عمل الإعلام
يُعدّ فريق عمل الإعلام في حلول الأمن الإنساني ركيزة أساسية في عملنا عند تقاطع الأمن الإنساني، إصلاح قطاع الأمن، والعدالة الانتقالية. ففي البيئات الهشّة وما بعد النزاع، لا يُعتبر الإعلام مجرد مصدر للمعلومات، بل هو قوة فاعلة في المساءلة، والشفافية، وتحقيق العدالة.
يضمّ الفريق مجموعة من الصحفيين والمحرّرين والمحللين وخبراء الإعلام من سوريا وخارجها، والذين يلتزمون بتعزيز دور الإعلام في توثيق الانتهاكات، وكشف الفساد والانتهاكات، وفتح قنوات الحوار بين المواطنين والمؤسسات الرسمية.
أهدافنا الأساسية:
- دعم الصحافة الأخلاقية والمبنية على الحقائق في تغطية عمليات إصلاح القطاع الأمني ونزع السلاح والعدالة
- تدريب الإعلاميين المحليين على تغطية قضايا الأمن والحوكمة بأمان وفعالية
- تضخيم أصوات الضحايا والناجين، وتسليط الضوء على قصص العدالة والمصالحة
- تقديم استراتيجيات إعلامية تعزز من شفافية المؤسسات وجهود الإصلاح
- تسهيل التعاون بين الإعلام والمجتمع المدني والجهات الرسمية لصياغة روايات وطنية عادلة
من خلال تمكين الإعلام على نحو نقدي وبنّاء للتفاعل مع قطاعات الأمن والعدالة، نسهم في بناء ثقافة عامة تقوم على الثقة والإصلاح والحقوق. يلتزم فريق عمل الإعلام بأن يكون الإعلام شريكاً فعّالاً في كشف الحقيقة، وتحقيق العدالة التصالحية، وبناء السلام المستدام في سوريا.
